After playing Falmouth CC this morning we decided to stop and give this Executive course a try since we were here. At $60 for 18/cart was a little high I though for a 3,552yd Par 30/30 course but, lets give it a try. With only two (2) tees you have the Men's at 1,774/1,778yds / 59.1 / 96 and Women's at 1,574/1,544yds / 58.4 / 93 there is a lot more challenge than these numbers show you. Tees were a little rough because of irons on all but seven (7) Par 4's but greens were.........Fantastic. To say that the terrain is "Undulating" is a understatement as you never start and finish on the same elevation. Treelined fairways separate the holes but more importation are the green placements with very steep fronts that reject all short shots. Scattered sand traps are found on some holes land had great white fluffed sand that made it easy to explode from. With the wind blowing and swirling it makes club selection very tough as I played 1-3 clubs extra/less both ways. Greens were mostly round, held good and had a slight tip forwards so stay below the cups. Average Par 3's were 150-180yds and the Par 4's were 225-332yds and not just drive for the green but placement yardage. I ended up shooting 34/32 w/30 putts (7 one putts) and learned a lot about reading elevation changes with my iron play. Must play here but I would like to see the price closer to $40.........but thats me.
